Thank you to Donna Rausch for picking up and delivering about 550 pounds of beef to Hoven High School today.
If there are any questions on how this process worked, please reach out. The Meathouse in Andover has been easy to work with and we thank them for answering all our questions and helping us get this program started at our school.
We will be looking for another cow this fall. Please reach out if you can help us grow this program. Now that we have been through the process, we have all the details. The school will fill out a form so you are able to use this as a tax deduction for your business.

Looking for someone to pick up the beef for the Hoven School in Andover, SD. It will be ready for pickup Wednesday 3/6/24.
We are excited to get this beef in the lunchroom. The first cow was donated by Jesse & Kindra Hartung and the processing is being covered by Shaun & Brittany Frost.
We are looking for cow and processing donations for the fall of 2024 (Octoberish).
We have a cow donated by Kevin & Renea Schmidt for January 2025 and will be looking for someone or a group of people to assist with the processing fees.
If you would like donate to this cause, you can help in a variety of ways. We need cow donations as well as funding for the processing. This does not mean one family needs to pay the entire processing. We take any sort of assistance you would like to give, and put it towards the next processing fee. We need people to haul the cow there and pick up the beef and bring back to the school as well. Reach out if you can help with any of these items.
We are excited to get locally grown beef to the lunchroom table. The goal will be to keep this program alive as long as we have donors and volunteers. Teamwork will make this dream work! Contact Kindra Hartung if you would like to be put on the list or can help at 605-695-9123.
